Before I list the trade possibilities, I will just talk about the numerous teams that have emerged as possible trade partners and the Sixers approach to the draft in general. To begin, the Sixers have expressed their interest in drafting Providence Guard Kris Dunn and Dunn has expressed his desire to play with the Sixers. The only way to guarantee getting Dunn would be to acquire the 3rd overall pick from their division rival, the Boston Celtics, who they have been in active discussions with. If the Sixers were to streak a deal for the 3rd pick, Jahlil Okafor or Nerleans Noel would be heading to Boston who also holds the 16th and 23rd picks in this year’s draft. Moving down the draft board, almost every top 10 team may be open to a trade including the Suns at 4, the Timberwolves at 5, the Pelicans at 6, the Nuggets at 7, Kings at 8 and the Raptors at 9. The Hawks who hold the 12th and 21st picks are actively shopping both picks. The Sixers also hold the 24th and 26th picks in the draft and may look to trade up from those picks but if they do not there is a possibility that a talented player that meets the team’s needs could fall to them at one of those positions. General Manager Bryan Colangelo said that the Sixer’s are in active discussions about moving up from 24 and 26, that they would like to move back into the top 10 but more specifically the top 8 and that the team has identified 6 or 7 players they really like from this draft class.
